Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Why all the changes? And is it just a name change?
DanMarc, Inc, a corporation owned by Daniel Brown and Dr. Marcus Brown and trading as Capital Cat Clinic, was dissolved at the request of both owners, effective December 25, 2012. Dr. Marcus Brown has formed a new company to continue the practice of feline veterinary medicine which trades under the name NOVA Cat Clinic and is located at 923 N. Kenmore Street Arlington, Virginia 22201. It is the only cat clinic presently operating at this address. For you, our clients, it may appear to be simply a name change, but officially NOVA Cat Clinic is a new trade name for a new company solely owned by Dr. Marcus Brown.
  2. Will I need to transfer my cat’s medical records?
If you wish to continue your cat’s care with Dr. Marcus Brown, Dr. Elizabeth Arguelles, or Dr. Tara Hogan then you do NOT have to transfer your cat’s medical records. Each of these doctors already has access to your cat’s medical records.
  3. Why haven’t I been able to get in touch with you?
We are so sorry if you tried to get in touch with us over the holiday and were not able to. With all these changes occurring, we have had a few “hiccups” along the way and we do sincerely apologize for those. We have finished the changes with Verizon (finally!) so here is our new contact information: 703-525-1955 (phone); 703-525-1957 (fax); or (email). You can reach us by any of these now without problem. And again we apologize for any confusion you experienced over the past few days.
  4. Will I still see the staff I’m used to?
In short, yes! Here is the list of the new staff of NOVA Cat Clinic:

    • Doctors: Dr. Marcus Brown, Dr. Tara Hogan, Dr. Elizabeth Arguelles and Dr. Mabet de Lange (Saturdays only)
    • Licensed Technician: Ellen Carozza, LVT, VDT
    • Front Desk: Amanda, Erica and Chelsea
    • Assistants: Layla and Emily
    • Office Manager: Kristin English

**You may be asking- but what happened to Dr. Sotos?? Her last day with us was December 14, 2012. She and her family are moving to California and we wish her all the best!!**

  5. Are you AAHA accredited?
    Yes, we are AAHA accredited.

We appreciate your support and patience as we kick start NOVA Cat Clinic in 2013. If at any point you have any questions concerning these changes, please feel free to contact us. I hope this has helped clarify any of the confusion.
